
Located on the shores of Corio Bay as part of the Royal Geelong Yacht Club complex, we provide a full manufacture and service loft for the western Port Phillip Bay and the South West coast of Victoria.
We are able to supply yacht and dinghy working sails and spinnakers for all sizes of yachts from maxi racing boats to pram dinghies... We also offer a large range of canvas work items as well.
Repairs and recuts are done promptly and efficiently with a fast turnaround time. Every attempt will be made to have sails ready for next race whether it be a twilight or weekend.
Tony has been involved with the sailmaking scene for over 30 years and has vast experience at making sails for all types of boats from America's Cup down to the smallest dinghy. His cruising sails have circum-navigated the world and proved to be reliable and user friendly.
Tony has been involved with sailing since his early days growing up in the surrounds of the family boat building business. After taking up sail making as his chosen vocation, Tony, after an apprenticeship with a local Victorian loft, went on to work for international lofts North, Hood and Sobstad. Following this he began his own independent loft “Bull Sails” which ran successfully for seven years before deciding to take up an invitation from Quantum Sail Design Group to join them in 2003. Since that time he has become an important part of the Australasian scene for Quantum.
His sailing resume includes representing Australia in World Championships in the Dragon and Quarter Ton classes, as well as competing in almost every ocean races on the Australian eastern seaboard. His sailing experiences are diverse - ocean racing ¼ tonners in the world championships off Land’s End in England, skippering the winner of the “All Japan Cup” in Yokohama Bay Tokyo and match racing Dragons in the “Sayonara Cup” on the Derwent River in Tasmania to name but a few.
A much in demand “speed doctor” he is keenly sought after as a sail designer and trimmer, helmsman, race tactician and sailing educator. Over forty years spent sailing and racing multiple styles of boats he has tasted success at state, national and international levels and brings a wealth of knowledge to any campaign.
