David Eickmeyer, of Quantum Melbourne, brings more than 25 years of sailmaking experience to his craft. He is a well-known sailmaker with a strong relationship with the Port Phillip Bay sailing community. David ran his own sail loft for 12 years prior to his affiliation with the Quantum Sail Design Group in 1998.
David's sailing achievements span 30 years and are diverse, ranging from 14ft and 18 ft Skiff Titles, four times Sports Boat National champion, S80 State champion, Adams 10 State champion, Etchell State, National and World championships, 15 Hamilton Island regattas and the China Seas regatta. His numerous offshore miles include the Auckland to Fiji yacht race, Sydney to Southport yacht race and several wins in the Sydney to Hobart and Melbourne to Hobart yacht races.
A leader of the Sports Boat innovation in Australia, David is probably best known for his extensive campaigning and impressive wins with his "Hot 2 Trot" Sports Boats. This earned him a nomination for Australian Yachtsman of the Year.

Located approximately 1 hours' drive south of Melbourne, we provide a complete range of services, including the manufacture of all new sails, repairs, recuts, tuning and a pick-up and delivery service to all yacht clubs around Port Phillip Bay.
With 10 years' experience as Quantum Melbourne's head sailmaker, Brent is an invaluable member of the team. From dingy sails to maxi boat sails, Brent has expertise in all areas of sailmaking and carries out his craft with dedication and attention to detail.
Brent is a keen sailor and has recently achieved successes at the Cherub Nationals, the Mumm 30 Nationals and the J/24's. He has also participated in the Melbourne to King Island yacht race, King Island to Adelaide yacht race and Melbourne to Apollo Bay yacht race.
Brent's desire for perfection is a driving force behind his work and this is frequently commented upon by his colleagues and clients. To build the best sails, you need the best sailmakers and Brent is a fine example of this philosophy. He is an enormous asset to Quantum Melbourne's team.
